Saygın Ersin: Absolute Taste

Master of fantasy and detective stories, born in 1975 in Manisa, west of Anatolia. He studied sociology in Ankara, worked as a journalist, is now a freelance writer and a screenwriter, living in Izmir. In addition to the novelist cycle, Yedi Kartal Efsaneleri [The Legends of the Seven Eagles], he published a series of detective short stories Emekli Polisler Lokali [Pub of Retired Cops], and a successful and readable historical novel Pir-i Lezzet [Master Chef], in which he depicts the story of a genius chef with an “absolute taste”, who conquers the gourmet cuisine in Topkapı’s sultan palace and changes the fate of the Ottoman Empire at the end of the 16th century.
